Rich-Spanning-Time is a highly in-demand Melbourne vinyl wedding DJ, as well as specialising in parties, functions and festivals. Drawing on a deep musical knowledge of the history of recorded sound, Rich crafts dedicated sets for every event using his ever expanding collection of 7” 45rpm vinyl singles and turntables.
From the dawn of the pop era in the ‘50s and ‘60s, rock classics to Motown soul, ‘70s disco, ‘80s new wave and old school hip hop, up to ‘90s R&B, Rich’s sets are all hits, all up-tempo sing-alongs, and always fun. Audience interactivity are emphasised during Rich-Spanning-Time’s sets, encouraging people to get involved and help to select songs from his record case. His vault of vinyl is deep and varied, with lists available on request.
In his other work Richard Moffat has booked Melbourne live music venues, programmed major Australian festivals, presented a radio show on RRR, edited a music magazine and ran a record label. Now he simply wants to DJ at parties and functions, helping people tell their story via the songs they love, sharing them with friends and family.
